Azonto Petroleum, the company that changed its name from Rialto Energy earlier this month, is aiming to start producing gas from its Gazelle project offshore Cote D’Ivoire by late 2015.
The company has requested Expressions of Interest (EOI) for the provision of a jackup to undertake a workover and development drilling campaign off Cote d’Ivoire, starting in late 2014.
The company is currently planning to use a high-spec jackup to undertake one re-entry and completion, and the drilling of two development wells at the Gazelle field in block CI-202. The campaign is set to begin in fourth quarter 2014 and is expected to take around 60 days to complete. EOIs are due to be submitted by mid-January 2014 and a formal tender will be issued around the second quarter of 2014.
