Militants Kidnap Two Workers Offshore Nigeria

Another offshore kidnapping has happened in the Gulf of Guinea. Two offshore workers have been kidnapped from an offshore support vessel in Nigeria. According to the owner of the vessel, France-based Bourbon Offshore, unknown assailants captured two crew members from the Bourbon Liberty 251 anchor handler on Tuesday, February 23.

OneSubsea and Subsea 7 Join Forces for SPS and SURFs

Subsea 7 has signed an agreement establishing a worldwide non-incorporated alliance with OneSubsea, a Cameron and Schlumberger company. The new alliance should see both companies jointly design, develop and deliver integrated subsea development solutions through the combination of subsurface expertise, subsea production systems (SPS), subsea processing systems, subsea umbilicals, risers and flowlines systems (SURF) and life-of-field services. Sterling Energy Acquires 13.5% stake in Block C-10 Offshore Mauritania

Sterling Energy plc (the Company), the AIM listed oil and gas exploration company, announced Wednesday that its wholly owned subsidiary, Sterling Energy Mauritania Limited (SEML), has signed a sale and purchase agreement with Tullow Mauritania Limited (Tullow) to acquire a 13.5 percent interest in the Production Sharing Contract for Block C-10 (the PSC), located offshore in the Islamic Republic of Mauritania (the SPA). Africa Oil announces 2015 Q1 financial and operating results

Africa Oil has announced its financial and operating results for the three months ended March 31 2015.

During the first quarter of 2015, seven wells finalized drilling across the South Lokichar Basin and the North Turkana basin in Block 10BA, Kenya. In addition, the Company is continuing its extensive exploration and appraisal program in the South Lokichar Basin in Blocks 10BB and 13T.
